1. Left Behind.

We went out to Lakeland to skate the Carpenter’s Home Church. The congregation moved locations so the old building’s been left behind (wakka wakka!) and we got to skate worry-free, even when a Sheriff pulled up. He just hung out for 5 minutes then left.

Brandon left this metal sheet at the spot a couple weeks ago so we set up a euro gap.

Brandon went first then Sam Bellepani came through.

And then it got a little more interesting.

Brandon tested out some gap potential around all the stairs and rails.

Then the Ruff Ryders Lakeland Division rolled through and told us we had to get off his block.

  2. Construction Site.

Rolled around Downtown Tampa a couple nights ago with Brandon Knowles and Angel Carela and ended up building a little bank from parts of a construction site by the Tampa Theatre.

It took a little work to support it, and Angel got whitewashed by my flash.

Notice all those wheel marks. It took a little getting used to and adjusting before we could really skate it. Angel made a frontside ollie happen early on though.

Then came through with a kickflip.

I’d love to show you Brandon’s photos but I gotta sit on those.

  3. Why? Why Not?

Nothing like sporadically deciding to light the Bro Bowl up at 12AM to do some skating. Why not? Knowles had the idea and we cruised over there with Andre McKenzie, Brandon’s younger brother Billy and the rest of his crew.

    Brandon Knowles, Tailslide.

A little flatground afterwards. Andre McKenzie, switch backside flip.

Bombed one of Tampa’s premiere parking garage later.

    Let’s get down there.

    Dean Donini bombin’ it.

We met this guy at the bottom.

  4. Keepin’ It Movin’.

Celebrated a successful 2 years with The Bricks Squad. Good times and cograts to all my friends over at 7th Ave and 14th St.

I showed up with my camera around my torso and my board on my arm but the rain downpoured right when I got there. So lame. The new Goat Ramp Instaramp is looking awesome.

But thankfully I ran into DJ AlBow and Hi-Def Joe right after.

Batman and Robin, Charlie Brown and Linus, Clements and Jorge.

Long time former co-worker and travel companion Jacob.

White tee mania. Yonnie, Pat, Nick, Yonnie Dave, Pat.

    Pat.

Wit-E and Wife-E, who got called a “beautiful and unique interracial couple” at the grocery store a few days ago. Hell yeah, Tampa.

    Cee Lo. So much fun.

My new neighbor Adam Dunning trying a slightly sloshed kickflip.

    Black Moses was representin’ hard.

    The big boys.

Elle and her brother Adam Dunning.

Pretty stoked to get a little cameo on my own blog.

    Dunn Deal.

Sarah Kaye. She run tings in Ybor and I always get better service when I go somewhere with her and her boyfriend Conrad.

Kyle Randall was in the house, of course. You thought he wouldn’t be?

The cream of the crop of the young bucks of SPoT, Alejandro Burnell.

  5. Tourists.

Brandon, Sam Bellepani (who’s name is actually Uncle Sam, for real) drove out to Orlando to skate with our usual skate bro Frank Branca and caught up with old time Gator homie Sam Bianchini for a bit too. We always hit up Midtown for a bit and we took off to do some street skating after that.

Frank can always get up on some tranny.

    Silent Frank speaks.

    Get up on them walls.

Brandon and Sam handled some frontside doubles.

Then we stepped to a tough to skate ledge spot down the road. Frank worked through a 50-50 after a little effort.

We ended up in touristy International Drive. Not sure why, it’s the wort part of Orlando.

And somehow we managed to skate this rain in front of a nice hotel for a good 20 minutes.Sam did a Bluntslide transfer.

Brandon was working on these boardslide pop-overs without much luck.

    Karate Sam.

    Dudes of Hazard.

    Uh-oh.

And the rain we’d been dodging all day finally got us on the way home.

  7. Still Waters Run Deep.

I’ve been tight with everyone in the Gator crew since the first time I’ve met them, several years ago. Now that Brandon Knowles is my boss (we’re plumbers) and we have the same schedule we get to ride out to wherever the rest of the crew is at and do some skating. This time we drove out to Frank Branca’s newish residence in Orlando for some fun in the sun. Next week we’ll be doing the same thing. You should do the same thing with your crew too.

A little inspecting at this spot before we got kicked out by a gang of security guards.

Little Dean was getting to it at the next spot downtown.

Meanwhile, things were getting weird when we turned the corner to check out a 2 stair ledge.

XXL Kreashawn, Hammer pants, and a rhinestone cowboy. We just stayed at the first ledge spot.

Where Brandon mashed out a tailslide.Nothing major, but gotta keep some blog content around, right? Plus, the spot looked awesome.

Later in the day at an awesome ditch spot it was clearly obvious that Florida is getting to be too-hot-for-shirts weather.

Brandon went to work on a transfer I’m gonna park on the sequence of, meanwhile, Dean took a more casual approach to the spot.

Next stop, this mellow but long rail.

You think Frank can’t get up on them bars? Don’t let the mellow disposition fool you. Eye of the tiger…

Ending the day at a “Steve spot”. Mellow DIY tranny. I loved it.

    Brandon, pivot to fakie.

Just for fun. Blog content, right?

Frank bought a 5D for video work and is dabbling in photo stuff too so I got to get mines too. Thanks Frank!

Joe Santy is back from Korea en route to Nicaragua. Pit stop in central Florida and a 5-0 on the wave.

    Yep.

Joe is out to Nica, but we’ll still be here shredding.

See you guys next week, as usual.

  8. Throwback sequence of Lil’ Jimmy Mastrocolo whipping a varial heel (real hard) down these brick blocks in downtown Tampa about a year ago.

  9. Standard Fare.

Not too much to say about these photos aside from my friend Matt and me went to Turtle Ditch in Channelside Tampa this morning and shot a couple photos.

    Tune in.

    Crooks.

    Back tail.

    Kickflip to fakie.

I saw the “93 till” tag and thought Rob Meronek was tagging the ditch. Then I saw the rest of the tag. Probably not Rob. Maybe though.

  10. Uptown Top Franking.

Long overdue session with my buds from Gator Skateboarding. They held the heartland of Florida down for years in the Sebring area but most of the guys have since up and moved to Orlando to seize more opportunities and enjoy a more urban lifestyle. We met up out in Lakeland for a ditch session.

Sebring’s Saint to skateboarding, Frank Branca.

Frank had the idea to wallride the pipe.

Even some grabbing going on too. There were a couple more variations of this but I think I should park on those.

Knowles kept it low-impact with this footplant.

The steep main wall got an ollie to fakie from Lane.
